Pinhole drilling units are used to precisely drill small holes for various prosthesis and dental molds in dental laboratories. Pinhole drilling units can empower up to 15,000 rpms, this allows for a smooth continuous motion and exact pinholes even in hardened die stone. Most pinhole drilling units utilize a laser for precise positioning of drill holes. Drill depth is adjustable from 0-12mm. Dust and debris from drilling is often removed via external suction to keep the equipment and drill holes clean. Some pinhole drilling units have the option of either seated or standing working position via a tilt-base, offering superior ergonomic operation. Some things to consider when purchasing a pinhole drilling unit are ease of use, quality of the unit, maintenance cost and vendor support.
